Egg-celent VI
Sunlight streaming in, breeze through the open window. Slow drip of coffee, aroma breathing promises of a new day. Gentle morning, reminder of many blessings.
In this fast-paced world, it’s far too easy to get caught up in the busyness of it all. Many times I catch myself just going through the motions, hardly able to catch my breath, let alone appreciate the world around me. One morning, enjoying the peace of quiet solitude, I reflected on the amazing simplicity of such days and the beauty that fills them. As if the sun had just been released from the clouds, I was awakened to the majesty of the ordinary day. What a gift to be able to live simply and be grateful for all that we encounter. Even something so common as an egg.
Original watercolor painting mounted on handmade deckle edged paper with simple stitching detail
